Star of the Day

Tonight i am going to a card swap. Its where we make 1 card then we take everything in a basket to make it.I love snowmen and i borrowed this from a friend of mine Ellen.

I used the new laundry line paper Coastal "Curious" Curously Large Spots. The sentiment is stampin' up which was purchased from Kim Reid for my birthday. Its a set i wanted for a long long time and was quite excited when i got it.

Of coure there are the stampin up small star punch as well as the heart punch.I used a metal embellishment(not sure from where....Kimmie gave them to me), Iused dew drops for accents, stickles on the wings, & glossy accents for the hearts and star on the snowman.

I used my copics for coloring and rubbing alcohol for blending solution. You can't see it but i ran the red piece of cardstock through the heart embossing folder and i used the new scalloped border for theacross the page. I love the new scalloped border punch that i also got from kimmie.
i have used it to make the largest scalloped squares and its perfect when i need the bigger size. I also edge distressed the edges using my heidi swap edge distressor.

My next stampin up purchase will be alot of those exclusive dies from stampin up .....did you know that the big shot dies are compatible in your cuttlebug, zip e mate,& sizzix machine well most of them are.I can't wait to get my hands on them.

Everything is in moderation, right.wink wink...yeah right. I love to get together to make cards and i have been looking forward all week to it.Can't wait although i am sure i will be gabbing more than working.

Have a great week and then weekend.
Take great care.
God Bless!!

Two days ago i was asked to participate in a cardmaking class using snowmen. So Here it is.I used 3 different punches for the star, heart, and my fave the stampin up border punch.

I used the magnolia stamp that i borrowed from a friend.I love snowmen and so i gotta say this one is right up my alley. I used my copics for coloring and rubbing alcohol for my blending liquid as well as some dew drops and corner embellishments which have hearts engraved in them. The happy holidays sentiment is stampin up.And the paper is the new laundry line from my mind's eye and i love it too.It has glitter and embossing powder on it ...its simply lovely. The pic is a bit hady however i did use stickles on the wings and glossy accents on the hearts.

Have A Great Weekend!!
